Every four years the world turns its attention to the largest sports spectacle on the planet, the World Cup. With the US Men's National Team winning their first match on Monday, we thought we would design a personalized set of car mats to celebrate the occasion and show our support for team USA. 

When you custom design your own car floor mats with GG Bailey, there are only four steps from start to finish, but thousands of possible design combinations, so you can truly make your design unique. You get to pick the carpet color, edging type and color, heelpad shape and color, and then add any custom embroidery or monogram of your choice! Plus, among our sports-themed logos, we have a soccer ball option! 

We designed two car mats in honor of the US team below, but using all our of various color options, you could design a custom floor mat to show your support for any team you wanted. Start with your carpet

To begin the custom design process, pick your vehicle year, make, and model from the drop down menu and decide how many floor mats you want (front only, a whole set, or a cargo mat). The first design step is to pick your carpet color. We chose contrasting greys for our two US soccer car mat sets. 

All of our carpets choices have a European velour look and are made using the strongest and most durable, trouble-free carpet fibers out there. GG Bailey's carpets have been developed with built-in resistance to soil and stains, so you don't have to worry about the wear and tear that comes with with normal use. We work with the world's leading yarn suppliers to custom design our own carpet. Our company produced the first European velour car floor mats in the U.S. Our carpet floor mats are now the standard in the world's best automobile brands.

As an added line of safety, each of car mats is backed with our Open Cell Foam backing to prevent mat movement. Not sure which carpet color is best for your custom design idea? Then pick an edging type, color

The second step in the design process is to pick an edging type and color. We offer two types of edging: serging and binding, which also includes reflective and ribbon edging. Binding is a smooth fabric edge and serging is a stitched yarn edge. Both edging styles present a great finished look that enhance the quality of the mat. 

Our premium Saratoga ribbon bindings are available in polka dots, plaid, and stripes, and our L.A. bindings are available in camo and reflective styles. Our standard binding comes in nine colors, and our serging is available in 21 colors, including a pair of two-tone choices (red and black; yellow and black).

Next, choose a heelpad shape, color

The third design step is to add an extra level of protection with an optional heelpad. Not only does the heelpad protect your custom designed car mat, but because they come in a variety of colors and shapes, they also give you another way to add your own unique touch to the floor mat design.

This is an exclusive option that helps prevent wear and tear on your custom car floor mats with an extra thick carpeted pad that goes under the heel area on the driver floor mat. Our heelpads are applied with a special finished edge, and they come in two shapes – rectangular and round – and are available in 19 different colors. 

To make our USA soccer car mats, we decided to use a red rectangle heelpad on the dark grey and a round blue heelpad on the grey mat. This gives us some contrast between the edging and the heelpad and gets us a little closer to having our red-white-blue theme complete.

Lastly, personalize your car mat

The last step to design your custom fit car mat gives you the chance to truly make your mats your own. Our personalized embroideries are available in block or script lettering and in 18 color choices that are directly embroidered into the carpet. You get to enter a custom word, phrase, or slogan with as many as 10 characters (including spaces), your initials, the classic look of a traditional monogram, or our new single letter monogram. We even have logos to pick from! The choice is yours.

To complete our Team USA mats, we added a soccer ball logo to our grey car mat and the letters "USA!" to our dark grey using a white embroidery. We almost feel like saluting these custom car mats (we have an American flag logo too!). 

If you prefer a monogram when you design your car mats, you will enter your initials in order. We will then take your third letter and make it the bigger letter in the middle.
