With the NFL kicking off its pre-season college football season right around the corner, it has become official: football is back!

That's right, you can design your own car mats to show your support for your favorite team. When you Design Your Mats™ on our website, you choose from thousands of possible design combinations to create your perfect car floor mat, and one of our personalization options is an embroidered football logo.

So you could pick the edging and heelpad colors of your favorite team, then add an embroidered football to make your floor mats stand out. Or personalize it even more with your team's mascot or some special word or phrase that represents your team.

Pick a carpet color

The car floor mat design process starts after you choose your vehicle's year, make, model, sub-model (if needed) and decide whether you want front mats only, a whole set, or a trunk or cargo mat. The first of the four steps is to pick a carpet color.

We have 11 colors to choose from. For our four football inspired car mats, we went with a black carpet for Georgia (we're located in Northwest Georgia), burgundy for Florida State, beige for Oregon, and black for Texas A&M. 

All of our carpets have a European velour look and are made of the strongest and most durable, trouble-free fibers available. GG Bailey carpets have been developed with built-in resistance to soil and stains, so you won't have to stress about the wear and tear associated with normal use.

We work with the world's best yarn suppliers to design our own carpet, and we produced the first European velour car floor mats in the U.S. Our floor mats are now the standard in the world's top automobile models.

Choose an edging type and color

The second step is to pick your edging. We offer two types of edging: serging and binding, which also includes reflective and ribbon edging.

A bound edge is a smooth fabric edge, whereas a serged edge is a stitched yarn edge. Both types add a professional, finished look that you will be proud of. 

Our premium Saratoga ribbon bindings are available in polka dots, plaid and stripes, and our L.A. bindings are available in camo and reflective.

Our standard binding comes in nine unique colors, and our serging is available in 21 colors, including a couple of two-tone choices.

Choose a heelpad shape and color

The third step in the custom car floor mat design process is to add an extra layer of protection by choosing a heelpad. This is an exclusive offering from GG Bailey that helps you prevent wear on your personalized car mats with an extra thick carpeted pad that goes under the heel area on the driver's side mat.

All of our heelpads are applied with a special finished edge, and they come in two styles – rectangular or round – and are available in 19 different colors. 

As you can see in the samples above, we picked a round red heelpad for Georgia, a caramel rectangle heelpad for Florida State, a hunter green rectangle heelpad for Oregon, and a burgundy rectangle heelpad for Texas A&M.

Personalize your car floor mat

The final step to design your custom floor mats allows you to truly set them apart by adding personalization. Our personalized embroideries are available in block or script lettering and in 18 color choices that are directly embroidered into the carpet.

You can add a custom word, phrase, or slogan up to 10 characters (including spaces), your initials, the classic look of a traditional monogram, or our new single letter monogram. 

For our custom designed football themed car floor mats, we added the words Go Dawgs! in red block for Georgia, chose Seminoles in script for Florida State, went with OREGON for that team in yellow block, and finished the Texas A&M car mat with the team mascot in burgundy script. 

If you choose a monogram when you design your floor mat, be sure to enter your initials in order. We will then take your third letter and make it the bigger letter in the middle.
